We put the spotlight on two Appliance Center members who serve our customers and our country.
Rita Perkins
When you walk up to the guest services desk at our Maumee store, more than likely Rita's smiling face will be behind that mask.
The U.S. Army veteran says she enjoys interacting with our guests and sharing stories and common points of reference.
She's been assisting our guests for the last 4 years. What does she consider the most important part of her job? "Besides having a positive attitude, being empathic, and communicating clearly are just some of the tools in my daily tool box."
When she's not behind the desk at Appliance Center, Rita is passionate about volunteering and enjoys dancing, traveling, flying kites, and spending time with her family.
Drew Clemens
You’ll find Drew Clemens hard at work managing our Monroe Street location. He’s on hand to make sure things run smoothly, help customers, and teach the staff how to provide the best service around.
Service is nothing new to this combat veteran. Drew spent 9 years in the Army and 5 years in the Air Force. He still serves in the Ohio Air National Guard (Thank you for your service, Drew!)
He started at the Appliance Center 11 years ago as a delivery driver and has served our customers as a dock supervisor and worked in sales before becoming manager.
Drew says the best part of working with a family-owned local business is being able to give our customers personal attention and service that’s miles ahead of what you’ll get at a big-box store.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids, sports, listening to music, and manning the grill (we hear he smokes some mean chicken wings).
