How to Fix Error Code E24 on Your Bosch Dishwasher

    by Appliance Center

Even great dishwashers sometimes have problems. Even though Bosch dishwashers routinely come out at the top of the ratings, that doesn’t mean you won’t have a problem now and again.

For example, you’re going about your business and washing dishes in your Bosch dishwasher when suddenly you see a red error code that reads ‘E24.’  We all know error codes are never good news.

For a Bosch dishwasher, this code means water is not draining properly from the appliance. But don’t panic yet, there may be a simple fix.

It may be as easy as removing the filter and washing it with warm water and a little soap. If washing the filter doesn’t help but the dishwasher still appears to be draining water properly, you may need to give it a good cleaning with specially formulated dishwasher cleaner or by putting a bowl of distilled white vinegar in a bowl in the top rack and running a cycle.

If that doesn’t take care of the problem, you could be dealing with a kinked hose or a blocked drain pump or hose. At this point, you could continue to investigate yourself or call for a repair service.
