Barbecue Food Trucks Face off In First-Ever 419 BBQ Battle

by Appliance Center

Appliance Center’s Parking Lot Parties were a sensation during the summer of 2020. This year, we’re taking it to the next level with the first-ever 419 BBQ Battle to benefit the Komen Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

On Saturday, May, 22 BBQ Food Trucks from across the area will face off in six categories:

  • Ribs
  • Pulled Pork
  • ½ Chicken
  • Brisket
  • Sides
  • Sauce

A panel of celebrity judges, including Jordan Strack and Ryan Wichman from our media partner, WTOL 11, Brandon Fields, and Laura Emerson will be on hand to pick the winner in each category. Plus, we’ll also present the highly-coveted People’s Choice Award!

Enjoy barbecue offerings from these amazing food trucks:

  • Deet’s BBQ
  • Jo Jo's BBQ
  • Outlaw Attitude BBQ
  • OTR Smokehouse LLC
  • Rick's Shack Outback BBQ
  • Whiskey Jack's
  • Mud City BBQ
  • Fatman's BBQ
  • Off The Rails

Plus, tasty treats from Susie Lynne’s Lemonade, Cookie Doughlscious, and NeNe’s Sweets.

Guy in the 419 will co-host a fun day filled with live music. Steve Kennedy takes the stage at 11 am, followed by Cave Man at 1:50 pm and Abbigale Rose at 4:10.

Raffles for exciting prizes will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

The fun starts at 11 am on Saturday, May 22 at our Maumee store located at 321 Illinois Avenue. The party goes until 7 pm with judging between 1 and 3 pm.

This event is free and open to the public. Visitors should enter at our Conant Street entrance.
