Maumee, OH—Appliance Center, the area's #1 Furniture and Appliance Superstore, is proud to once again host Rescue in the 419, the area's largest animal adoption event, on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maumee Superstore, located at 321 Illinois Avenue.
This year's event will feature activities for pets and kids, food trucks offering delicious treats, the opportunity to meet dozens of adoptable pets, and a chance to win amazing prizes.
Our generous sponsors have donated a Maytag PetPro Washer & Dryer, a Catnapper recliner, and Electrolux Pet vacuums for a raffle to benefit animal rescue charities. Plus, join our scavenger hunt for a chance to win Appliance Center Gift Cards, gift baskets, and other fun prizes.
In partnership with Buckeye Broadband and Whirpool, last year's Rescue in the 419 was a tremendous success, with over 30 dogs and cats finding their forever homes. This year's event promises to be even bigger. Among the rescue organizations taking part are Toledo Humane Society, Wood County Humane Society, Lucas County Canine Care & Control, Planned Pethood, Inc., Compassionate Care Sanctuary, Toledo' 's PET Bull Project, Humane Ohio, Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter, Humane Ohio, Ohio Small Dog Rescue, and Saints Elsewhere Pet Rescue.
In addition to the rescue organizations, several pet-related businesses will offer a variety of products and services to benefit pets.
The event will also feature special savings of up to 50% off on the area's largest in-stock selection of furniture, mattresses, and appliances.
