3 Simple Ways Fix LG Washer UE Error Code

    by Appliance Center

Nobody wants to see an error code on an appliance. But some error codes are more serious than others.

For example, the UE Error Code on your LG washer. Most of the time, you can take care of it pretty quickly. The UE Error Code means you have an unbalanced load. That probably means that there’s too much laundry on one side of the drum. There are 3 easy fixes.

    1. Check the washer legs. All four should rest evenly on the ground with nothing underneath them. If there’s a bit of a wobble or an angle, you may need to adjust the legs.

    2. Redistribute the wash. You may have too much or too little laundry in the washer or something like a sheet may have become tangled up. Try moving the load around to even things up. If the load is too small, try adding a few more items.

    3. Try turning it off and on. There’s a running joke that this is the only advice tech support ever offers and it’s partially true. But that’s because turning something off and on frequently does fix your problems. Today’s appliances have computers in them and sometimes computer brains get a little overloaded. Turn off the washer, unplug it, and let it sit for about 5 minutes before powering back up.

If none of these steps work, it could be a problem with the internal components or the control board. If you’re super-handy, you might attempt to diagnose the problem yourself. If you’re like the rest of us, it’s probably time to contact a repair service. If your washer is still under warranty, make sure to contact the manufacturer or warranty company first to authorize the repairs.
